# Bamboo

> Trigger Testsigma test plans from a Bamboo build plan with the Testsigma Test Plan Run plugin.

Bamboo integrates through a dedicated plugin rather than a script. The **Testsigma Test Plan Run** task triggers a test plan and waits for the result. It writes the JUnit report to the path set in the task form.

## Prerequisites

- The plugin, from the [Atlassian Marketplace](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1223253/testsigma-test-plan-runner?hosting=server&tab=installation).

## Configure the plan

Install the plugin from **Bamboo administration settings > Manage apps > Find new apps** by searching for **Testsigma Test Plan Runner**, or upload it from the Marketplace listing.

1. **Create a plan**: from the **Build Dashboard** in your Bamboo instance, click **Create > Create Plan** on the top menu.

2. **Configure it**: enter a **Project name** and **Plan name**, configure your repository, and click **Configure Plan**.

3. **Add the task**: click the **Add Task** tab, search for **Testsigma Test Plan Run**, and select it.

4. **Fill in the details**:

    - **Task description**: a name for the task.
    - **Testsigma API Key**: generate one under [Settings > API Keys](https://testsigma.com/docs/v2/settings/developers/).
    - **Testsigma Test Plan ID**: from the test plan details page in Testsigma.
    - **Maximum wait time for Task completion**: the maximum time in minutes the plugin waits before timing out.
    - **Report File Path**: the file path where the JUnit report XML file is stored.

5. **Save the plan**: click **Save** to save the task details, then **Save and Create** to create the plan.

After the maximum wait time, the task times out in Bamboo but the execution continues in Testsigma. Log in to Testsigma later to check the test plan status.

## Try a sample build

Click **Run Now** to trigger the pipeline manually. When the pipeline reaches the Testsigma task, the test plan starts. Confirm it under **Dashboard > Test Plans** in Testsigma, and check the results there.
