# Slack

> Send Arcus notifications into your Slack workspace, choose which events trigger them, and edit each notification template.

Connecting Slack to Arcus by Testsigma sends notifications about test activity into your Slack workspace. You choose which events trigger a notification, and edit the message each one uses.

## Prerequisites

- An active Slack workspace.
- The Slack integration connected. Click **Integrate Slack** on the **Customise Slack Notifications** page, or **Setup Integration** next to Slack under **Settings > Integrations**.

## Notification events

You configure notifications one event at a time. Turn each event on or off as needed.

- **Test Run Assigned**: a test run is assigned to a user.
- **Test Case Waiting on Review**: a test case is submitted for review.
- **Test Case Approved**: a test case is approved.
- **Comments Mentioned**: a user is mentioned in a comment.
- **Test Run Completed**: a test run's status changes or it completes.
- **Test Case Assigned**: a test case is assigned to a user.
- **Test Case Rework Requested**: a test case needs rework.
- **Test Run Added to Test Plan**: a test run is added to a test plan.
- **Test Plan Completed**: a test plan completes.
- **Test Plan Daily Summary**: a daily summary of active test plans.
- **Export Completed**: a data export finishes and is ready to download.

## Customize a notification

1. In the left navigation, go to **Settings > Notifications**.

2. Expand **Notifications**, then click **Slack**. The **Customise Slack Notifications** section opens.

3. Hover over the event you want to change and click the edit icon.

4. Update the **Notification Template**.

5. (Optional) Click **Send Test Notification** to check the template.

6. Click **Save**.

## Send notifications from a test plan

1. In the left navigation, open **Test Plans**, then create or open a [test plan](https://testsigma.com/docs/arcus/v2/run-tests/test-plans/).

2. In the **Notifications** section, select **Slack** from the dropdown.

Arcus sends a notification when the test plan is created or updated.
